Challenge: Implementation of Autodesk Vault Technical Document Management and migration of the previous system.

Solution: Migration from the previous BlueCielo Teamworks system.

Project: The project included a rigorous implementation plan, where the months of strategic and functional analysis were crucial for its success. It also included the migration of the database from the previous system, where the various actions required for migration consistency were successful; cataloguing was one of the most important steps in this migration and the transition to operation.

Outcome: With the implementation of this solution, the customer gained a more flexible system for access to project documentation, as this solution centralises all documentation in a data centre, making it available from any of the factories.

Implementation of the Autodesk Vault solution at Sonae Arauco, to replace an obsolete system, enables centralised management of technical documents, produced by the design, construction and maintenance departments for the company’s different factories. With this new technical documentation management system we created a management tool that enables the traceability and version control of technical documents, document input on a massive scale, complete integration with AutoCAD Plant 3D and AutoCAD Mechanical design tools, and visualisation in various document formats, including Office formats, as well as integration with e-mail.

As a result, the implementation of this solution has optimised all communication processes in the delivery of project documentation, using the solution’s “Pack & Go” feature, which aggregates all documents and related lists in a compact file, to all factories, suppliers and contractors of Sonae Arauco.
